Bob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter, author, and visual artist. Regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Dylan has been a major figure in popular culture for more than 60 years. His lyrics incorporate a wide range of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences. He rose to prominence in the 1960s folk music revival and became a voice of his generation. In 2016, he became the first musician to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.
